Popular comedy duo Maggie Fox and Sue Ryding, otherwise known as LipService, will be presenting a sneak peek of their brand new play, Mr Darcy Loses the Plot, at Oldham Library Live on Monday 18 July at 2.30pm.

Britain’s favourite literary lunatics” – The Independent

Mr Darcy Loses the Plot explores the world of famous female writers who produced their work in secret or under pseudonyms, including Jane Austin and Elizabeth Gaskell. The set will feature a quilt made by local community groups, including Oldham Coliseum’s Full Circle group for the over 50s.

The informal work-in-progress sharing event at Oldham Library’s performance space will offer the opportunity to look at some quilting, watch sample scenes from the new play and feedback any ideas and suggestions in a relaxed setting.

Tickets to the event at the Library are free, but must be booked in advance via the Coliseum Box Office. The event will last approximately one hour.

This performance will be Captioned and BSL interpreted for Deaf, Deafened and Hard of Hearing audiences. There will be an Audio Description for Blind and Visually Impaired audiences.
