Lemn Sissay presents Something Dark

A rare chance to see a dramatic reading of the acclaimed one-man play by celebrated performance poet, Lemn Sissay.

Something Dark tells the story of Lemn Sissay’s upbringing in children’s homes and foster care in Lancashire, and the search for his family and true identity.

Originally directed by John McGrath (National Theatre of Wales/MIF/Contact), Something Dark has been performed throughout the world to critical acclaim and was adapted by BBC Radio 3.

It’s an extraordinary true story told by a masterful performer and comes complete with a legendary Q&A session.

Lemn's work is increasingly being taught in schools and colleges, and he's a favourite at book festivals and as a broadcaster on TV and radio.  Read more about Lemn's extraordinary life story here
