The project, supported by The Big Community Lottery Fund and delivered in partnership with Horse + Bamboo Theatre Company, worked with people living with dementia and their carers both at the Coliseum and in care home settings. Using puppetry, participants shared stories, bringing them to life through playful hands-on approaches.

The puppet show performance, Suitcase Full of Letters, was created with participants and performed by Tom and Alice from Horse + Bamboo Theatre Company. Developed with participants, it depicted a man in his later years living with dementia and social isolation and included physical puppetry, shadow puppetry, projection and a recorded reading. An accompanying exhibition, designed by the group, engaged audience members in the activities that the group had been involved with. To see a gallery of photographs from the event click here.
