There’s just 10 days left to see our production of The Ladykillers.
“an enjoyable romp…never loses its pace…a really fun night out” – Manchester Salon
This rip roaring comedy was inspired by the classic 1955 Ealing comedy film of the same name starring Peter Sellers and Alec Guinness. Written by Graham Linehan (the writer behind cult comedy television programmes: The IT Crowd, Black Books and Father Ted), it’s fast paced, hilarious night out. Posing as amateur musicians, a criminal gang are planning the heist of the century on a train carrying bank notes.
The criminal mastermind behind this robbery is Professor Marcus, a somewhat shady character, lodging with a sweet little old lady, Mrs Wilberforce, whose house just happens to back on to the train station….
Hilarity ensues as Mrs Wilberforce meets the criminal gang in all their eccentric inept glory and uncovers their plans….
The Independent called the original stage play “Uproarious slapstick stage farce”, our local critics have acclaimed it too:
“a delight…” – Manchester Theatre Awards
“excellent…hugely enjoyable performances” – North West End
Don’t miss it!
The Ladykillers runs until Saturday 2 July.
