An Oldham Coliseum production
Up 'N' Under

From the writer of Teechers, Bouncers and April In Paris.

This riotously funny play brings the fanatical world of amateur rugby league up, close and personal.

The Cobblers Arms has never once been beaten in Castleford’s Amateur Rugby League Seven-A-Side Tournament.  But Arthur Hoyle thinks he can change the Cobblers’ winning streak with a new crack team of players. In fact, he stakes his house on it a bet with the local Mister Big, Reg Welsh. Trouble is Arthur’s team is more cracked than crack….

There’s just seven actors and a rugby ball, and as much ballet as ball-game, in our staging of John Godber’s comedy classic which will have audiences cheering with every try.

Loved by audiences and critics alike, the comedy won the Olivier Comedy of the Year Award in 1984 and gets a timely revival here.
