Oldham Coliseum Theatre is looking for ladies aged 45+ to appear in The Ladykillers.
Based on the 1955 Ealing comedy film and adapted for the stage by television sit-com writer Graham Linehan (Father Ted, Black Books, The IT Crowd), The Ladykillers is a dark comedy about eccentric widow, Mrs Wilberforce, and a gang of ruthless criminals posing as a string quartet.
We’re looking for ladies to join the cast on stage to play Mrs Wilberforce’s friends. Those interested will need to attend a couple of rehearsals and be available for some or all of the performances.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has ever fancied treading the boards of the Coliseum’s stage to become a part of the town’s theatrical history. Recent Coliseum productions involving members of the local community include: Kiss Me Quickstep’s dance chorus, the annual pantomime chorus and the community chorus of Oldham women in 2015’s smash-hit musical, Dreamers.
