Be Part of the Oldham Coliseum Theatre’s Ambassador Programme 2011
Oldham Coliseum Theatre Ambassadors will serve as an unbiased voice, sharing their experiences of the theatre with the wider public. Duties we would expect the ambassadors to perform include, but are not limited to, print distribution, blogging, tweeting, commenting on the theatre’s Facebook page and website, and spreading positive news about the theatre and its wide variety of performances and activities. Not all ambassadors will be asked to do all of these activities although if an individual wishes to they are more than welcome. We will discuss with each ambassador which activity they would be most comfortable performing.
As the role of Coliseum Ambassador would be an unpaid role, there will be plenty of reciprocal benefits for the services the ambassadors provide.
• You will be a member of the Oldham Coliseum Theatre Company and work alongside our team of professional theatre staff. With opportunities for regular training, advice and feedback sessions, you’ll also have the opportunity to develop specific areas of interest.
• In order to recommend the productions with confidence, ambassadors are able to make use of complimentary tickets for selected Oldham Coliseum Theatre performances.
• You will be amongst the first to find out what’s coming up at Oldham Coliseum Theatre with regular newsletters.
• You get to meet new people, make new friends and spend time in a creative environment with a wide range of people, aged 16 – 80+.
The role:
While we are grateful for any amount of time that you are able to give, we do ask for a regular commitment. Regular commitment also means that you will stay up to date with any new theatre policies and procedures and additional opportunities – all adding up to a more enjoyable and rewarding experience for everyone involved. All volunteering work is subject to a probationary period.
